Kirgistan wrap-up

Found it! The most boring traditional rice dish that Turkey and Central Asia have in common: Plov and Nohut Pilav - basically rice with nothing but unenjoyable meat

Ahhh, there it is!

Seems like I have to come back in winter time

Enjoying the last days in the mountains

On the sand-roads in Wakhan Valley!

Starting from Khorog was pretty hard. After one and a half day off, it seemed like that my legs would not wanna move again - ever. Also my stomache didn't really like something from the last days (all good now again) and I had 2 flat tires in one day. Makes already 3 flat tires - very annoying thorns out here. So I decided to stop cycling after 45 km already, took a bath in the Garm-chashma hot springs, which are supposed to heal you from any disease, and went to bed at 6 o'clock.
Super motivated, not really, I headed to Ishkashim, the border crossing to Afghanistan, where I found the real nice Anis Guesthouse (proper hot shower european style, not only a bowle!!! and proper toilets, not just a hole!!!) and had a nice evening with two German guys from the Allgäu region and the owner of the guesthouse.
After Ishkashim, in the Wakhan Valley, I had again the pleasure to boost my health (and especially fertility) in the Bibi Fatima hot springs. Very nice! Some crazy women, even climb in a super small and dark hole (which apparently stands for the uterus) within this spring to  boost their fertility even more. Thinking about how many siblings and cousins I have, I decided I would not need this.

Unfortunately these springs are all commercial, means you have a ugly plastic house around you instead of a nice open view.

On kilometer 800 (round about) I ended up in the village “Langar“. As it is the last village before a huge pass (4350m), I kept on joking with myself, I am going to "Lan-gar-nix", haha. From tomorrow on spectacular views of the entire Afghanistan, Hindu Kusch, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and maybe even China mountain area are promised. But I have to admit, not my legs will bring me up there...As the roads out here are way worse than expected and cycling through sand is hell (and the next uphill meters promise a lot of pushing) I asked a very nice Australian couple to take me with them in their big world safari travel truck.
